Home Link with Arctic

Link with home for Expedition Ice-Pack V is this Amateur radio station at Pacific Naval Laboratory operated by electronics foreman Robert Robson (left) of 3450 Fulton Road. At right is his backup man Ray Hale, 711 Rockheights, PNL electronics technician. Men operate station as hobby, talk to many icebound workers at Arctic weather stations. (Victoria Daily Colonist clipping.)

EhkoliEhkoli is the very first ship I worked on.  Its work zone was the northern portion of Georgia Strait with its deep inlets where accurate underwater acoustic tests could be made.

HMCS CedarwoodThe Ehkoli worked together with HMCS Cedarwood.

EndeavourI worked on this ship in an area midway to Hawaii off and on for several years carrying out further underwater acoustic testing.

EndeavourThis ship was designed expressly for DREP, to be used for deep sea scientific studies of underwater acoustic experiments.  .
